I spoke with some people saying that the end fight with Kylo Ren was a little underwhelming, like this powerful Sith should not have been having any trouble at all with an ex-stormtrooper and an untrained force-sensitive girl in a lightsaber fight. That, as powerful as he’s supposed to be, killing these two should’ve been like stomping on bugs if he was being serious. I’ve been thinking about that, and I think it can be explained by the fact that, Kylo Ren is going into this fight wounded, and it actually speaks volumes for how tough he is that he fights as well as he does. Right after he kills…a certain character, he’s shot by Chewbacca’s bowcaster. In several prior scenes, this bowcaster is established as a beast of a gun. A shot from this thing hits so hard it sends people flying, and they aren’t getting back up again. Kylo Ren not only survives being shot with the bowcaster, he’s exploded with demo charges, and he still manages to catch up and fight with greater strength and skill (if only barely) than both of his opponents even while he’s bleeding all over the place. It takes a serious badass to do that, I think he’s allowed to not be at his best under the circumstances.

Haters are can hate Kylo all they want but I think he's the best character in the sequels. He has so much potential even tho they really ruined that in a way in the last Jedi but I loved that he's still human and shows it. I really hope survives ep 9 and redeems himself
